Dr. Chen CHEN, 

The University of Hong Kong

Reconfiguration of Nitrogen Cycling in Agrifood Systems under Urbanization

Dr. Chen is currently a Research Assistant Professor and JC STEM Early Career Research Fellow at The University of Hong Kong. She received her PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on urban metabolism, urban scaling, and environmental system modelling. She has published 30 papers in leading journals such as Nature Food, Nature Communications, and Environmental Science &  Technology.



Dr. Siyu LIU, 

University of Copenhagen

Trees Outside Forests, Seen from Space: From Green Equity in European Cities to Carbon Across China

Dr. Liu received his PhD degree from the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on the intersection of deep learning and remote sensing to map trees, forest canopy height, and biomass from continental to global scales. He also extends this satellite-and-AI mapping to evaluate urban green-space equity across Europe. His findings have been published in leading journals such as Science Advances and Nature Communications



Dr. Xin XU, 

University of Copenhagen

Forest Gain across Tropical and Subtropical Asia Masks Widespread Loss of Complex Forests

Dr. Xu is a Postdoc at the University of Copenhagen. Her research integrates high-resolution satellite imagery with deep learning to characterize forest horizontal structure complexity across large spatial scales, with a particular focus on forests in southern China and tropical and subtropical regions of Asia.
